VERY MODERN, VERY CLEAN, VERY EASY TO STAY
This is a comfortable spacious hotel, super design for ease and comfort, it is sleek, minimalist, band efficient whilst being warm, helpful, and friendly. I loved this hotel. I would stay here again (and again) it is a bit of a walk to Lecce historical centre (about 12 mins) but you WILL get a great night's sleep and have a good breakfast here.
This ultra modern hotel is a 15 minute walk from the gate to the old town. It has a huge lawn at the back, but no pool although it has a small quite well equipped gym. Rooms are quite spacious and very comfortable: excellent bed with a choice of pillows and a great shower. Lighting is very modern and despite staying a week, I never learnt how to turn everything off. Staff were very obliging. Breakfast was good, but there were delicious dishes in the reasonably priced a la carte menu for dinner.
A BRILLIANT AND IMPRESSIVE STAY!
We were so delighted by our stay here! ALL the staff were incredibly helpful and warm and friendly. But special mention must go to our favourite and most charming staff member, Francesca!! We saw her both days, she served us lunch yesterday and breakfast today. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was incredibly friendly, professional and lovely. 8piuhotel is so lucky to have her as an employee as she really embodies everything the hotel stands for, and exhibits the highest levels of service, friendliness, and warm hospitality! She was so helpful even in little ways - like recommending we try the pastries which were a local specialty at breakfast. I rented a bicycle for a few hours yesterday afternoon which I highly recommend - cycled all around the old town which is a short, easy and flat ride (maybe 1km) from the hotel. Such a good way to take a lot of the old town in. We had a junior suite which was wonderful! Heaps of space, very modern and cool tech like a gorgeous LED colour spectrum light feature. Very comfy beds, good free wifi, good aircon - and excellent breakfast! In short - highly recommended!
HIGH TECH HOTEL AT THE HEEL OF THE ITALIAN BOOT
The hotel is surprisingly high tech, interior decorating with lots of taste and style (congrats to designers). Beds are of excellent quality for comfortable sleeping, all lighting controls, tv, radio, are touch, hotel TV is personalized, shower is with chromotherapy. All in all I am very pleased with the hotel. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast is a buffet type with plenty of food for all kinds of flavors. Dinners are tailored to local Italian cuisine. Very fine wines are served.
THE PLACE TO STAY FOR A BASE IN PUGLIA
When we arrived, we thought we'd made a mistake booking this hotel but we soon realised why 8piuhotel is ranked the best in Puglia. It's hard to imagine a better hotel anywhere. Let's start with the staff- efficient, friendly and incredibly generous. The room- clean, comfortable, sufficient space. The appearance- a rightly award-winning modern design, even the teapots. The food- breakfast is fantastic, nothing lacking, excellent quality, replenished regularly by attentive staff; the restaurant is superb for supper. The location- just off the main coastal motorway giving easy access to the Puglia region, close to the historic town of Lecce. Were there any downsides? Well, the Movies-On-Demand were exclusively 'adult'- some standard Hollywood movies and some family friendly films would have been good; there were only news channels available on TV. It was as if this is a businessmen's hotel that hasn't quite geared up to tourists and families. The 15 minute walk into historic Lecce is through a run-down part of town. There was nowhere particularly comfortable to sit outside. These are not really criticisms, just something to be aware of. To be clear, we are looking forward to staying here again and reacquainting ourselves with this beautiful hotel and its lovely staff.
GREAT HOTEL IN LECCE
My husband and I loved this hotel! It was kind of a last minute choice in our plans to travel to Italy and we are not sorry that we found this place. The staff is very friendly and converse well in English. They can answer any questions you may have whether it be regarding sightseeing or restaurants. There is free parking and the breakfast buffet is outstanding (and included with your stay). We even came back to 8piu Hotel for breakfast after we had relocated to another hotel that we had booked prior to booking this one and their buffet price was very inexpensive. I also had my birthday dinner here and the chef stayed later than usual to prepare it for me. He even made two little molten lava cakes and placed them on a platter that read "Happy Birthday!" The room appeared new and was very clean. The shower was HUGE and changed colors. All in all, this is a very nice hotel. If ever in Lecce again, we will be staying here.
This hotel is perfectly located off the motorway on the outskirts of Lecce. Ideal place to leave your car and explore the delights of Lecce on foot - only a 10-15 min walk into the historic centre. Rooms are fitted out to an exceptional high modern look and feel - breakfast self service buffet is wonderful. Staff on site very friendly and great help. If you don't want to drive the narrow streets of downtown Lecce but explore on foot - this is the hotel to stay at. We were a family of 5 - took 2 rooms - they installed a single bed easily to accommodate the fifth person. Excellent value for money.
FAN-TAS-TIC HOTEL! NOTHING ELSE IN LECCE BUT 8PIU HOTEL
Absolutely don’t be afraid of the distance from this hotel to Lecce historical center – perhaps 20 min slow walking, but in a quite safe area. 8piu hotel just deserves the highest rate. It is a very modern hotel (we are commonly used in Italy with small old style hotels in historical buildings located in narrow streets). But 8piu hotel is just the opposite. It is a big hotel, located somehow next to the Lecce ring (nearby there is a Lidl supermarket), but the city center can be reached by foot quite easy, it is a very modern and good looking building, very clean and very friendly and welcoming,. The design of the hotel, of reception area, of the restaurant is just great. Rooms look new, with some interactive gadgets (the way you turn on/off the light, bizarre option to change the color of the light in the bathroom, different lights), new and comfortable bed, free Wi-Fi, a big parking in front and at the back of the hotel.
Breakfast followed the Italian style, lots of sweets abut absolutely delicious, and it can be served in a very nice area. Great guys at the reception, very friendly and with good English. We had a very, very pleasant stay here (we spent 5 night for the 2016 New Year). Definitely I would come back here and I do recommend you to try it. You’ll just love it.
WE LOVED THIS HOTEL!!
From the moment we arrived we knew that we would enjoy our stay. This is an exceptionally clean, comfortable and state of the art hotel....from the restful 'mood' music on arrival in the car park, through to Reception and their great hospitality, the very comfortable room with chromatic shower and touch controls for lights and airconditioning to the excellent food in the restaurant. We loved it all! It is close enough to walk to the old town but we didn't find parking difficult when we took the car. We were sorry to leave....we had a really lovely two days and would definitely want to stay there again.
